In 1945, a restaurant visionary named Nicholas Manero opened the first Manero’s® in Greenwich, Connecticut. With the help of committed family members and a terrific staff, the restaurant soon gained a reputation for quality products and personalized, high levels of service. The restaurant was an innovator in having it’s own butcher shop and retail market, singing waiters and the development of the Gorgonzola salad. Other Manero’s® locations quickly followed including Westport, Connecticut; Hallandale, Florida; Paramus, New Jersey; Syosset, New York; Manhattan, New York; West Palm Beach, Florida; Margate, Florida; and Palm City, Florida.

A lone offshoot was developed for the more rural Maggie Valley, North Carolina called J. Arthur’s Restaurant. Most of the Manero’s® Restaurants were operated by family, a few were franchised out. Just two of the restaurants remain today – J. Arthur’s and this Manero’s® Restaurant in Palm City, FL.
